Chrissie

Introducing Chrissie,
the Founder of Aura Supported Living

I’m Chrissie, founder of AURA Supported Living, and I’ve worked in the care sector for over 20 years. My journey began in a care home when I was 17, and from that point I knew supporting people was something I truly cared about. Over the years, I’ve worked across care homes, hospitals, day centres, and supported living services, supporting people with a wide range of needs and gaining a real understanding of how important compassionate, person-centred care is. I am also Level 5 qualified in Health and Social Care, which has further strengthened my knowledge and leadership within the sector.
I originally started the service as Bonzai Living in 2020 before rebranding to AURA Supported Living in 2024. The rebrand reflected my vision for creating a service that genuinely focuses on people by recognising their strengths, encouraging independence, and helping individuals achieve their goals and aspirations in a way that feels meaningful to them. I wanted to build a service where people feel valued, listened to, and supported to live the life they choose.
Although I’m the Director, I’m not someone who stays behind a desk. I enjoy working alongside the team and still spend time supporting people directly whenever I can. Staying involved helps me remain connected to what matters most and that is the people we support and the staff delivering that care every day.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mum to three boys and love spending time with my family and our animals. Alongside our dogs and cats, I also have a Harris hawk and a barn owl, as I’ve always had a passion for birds of prey. I enjoy fishing, gardening, swimming, and trips to the beach whenever I get the chance.
I’m so glad you’re here and look forward to being part of your journey with AURA.
